Get involved in Developing local Health & Care Services

The Big Health and Wellbeing Conversation is hosted by NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and they have asked us to share the following information;
'As you may be aware, in February 2023 we launched the “Big Health and Wellbeing Conversation”. Between March and May 2023, we have/will be holding a number of community ‘listening’ events, to hear the views of local residents. Feedback from these events will enable us to improve local health and care services. We will be discussing hospital services, GP access, care services, public health services and much more.
All systems are required to produce an Integrated Care Strategy and a Joint Forward Plan. We published our interim Integrated Care Strategy at the end of December 2022, it sets a bold vision for what we want to achieve through greater partnership and collaboration, with the aim of delivering more joined-up and person-centred care for our population. We are now developing our Joint Forward Plan, which will provide the operational detail around how the strategy’s vision can and will be realised. The first draft of the Joint Forward Plan will be published at the end of March, to allow further engagement and feedback, with the final version submitted to NHS England at the end of June.
We are encouraging as many people as possible across the county to attend one of the events to help inform the development of the initial draft of the Joint Forward Plan. More events will be added over the coming weeks and months following the publication of the draft Joint Forward Plan in March.
The next event will be held on 30th March 2023, in Riversway Elim Church, Shrewsbury, SY1 3LE. We will run two sessions in the one day. The sessions commences at 2.00pm-4.30pm and will be repeated at 5.30pm-8.00pm.
As venue capacity changes at each event and we are required to work within health and safety measures for each venue, we are asking people to please register their attendance.
