PACC Healthy Lives Programme 2022

31/07/2022

We have completed PACC’s first week of our new Healthy Lives Programme and the feedback has been really positive from the young people and their parent carers.  The programme is based on the 5 steps to wellbeing and aims to support the physical and mental health of young people with SEND in Shropshire.  This week the programme was launched with a full day for 30plus young people at Derwen College, learning about how to look after their health and getting active, we have also got dancing with Identity Dance School, gone for a walk and joined a crafting session with Avalon Day Services in Oswestry, played Boccia and re - potted pepper plants at Abbots Wood Day Services, learnt about using the gym at Shrewsbury Sports Village and explored music and poetry with Arty Party.  An important part of wellbeing is to give to others, so today a group of young people are joining Aspirations Day Services to prepare an afternoon team for two family members as a way of saying thank you for all the support they provide on a day-to-day basis.

The programme runs throughout the Summer holidays and we still have a few places left on some activity sessions, email abi@paccshropshire.org.uk if you would like more information.
